What is Live Scan
fingerprinting?
Background checks and fingerprinting are required for a wide variety of state agencies, programs and industries. While we do offer traditional ink fingerprinting, Live Scan technology has become the industry standard and offers a secure and more convenient option.

​Live Scan fingerprinting utilizes a digital scanner. It’s as simple as placing your fingers on a glass plate while our technician assists in rolling them back and forth to get the best possible image. These images are then transferred through a secured connection directly to the state.

What we need from you at the time of your appointment:
A current, government issued photo ID.
The appropriate Agency Authorization Number (usually 11 digits and supplied by the angency and/or company requesting the background check)
The corresponding ORI number designating what type of checki s being performed (usually 7 digits with "MD" at the front).
